Sports Capstone project

This project explores the often-overlooked narratives behind women’s fandom in sports, challenging common stereotypes such as bandwagoning or superficial support based on players' appearances. Rather than focusing on these assumptions, the goal is to understand the motivations and experiences of women supporting football teams in Sevilla. Key questions include whether they feel empowered to express their interests in a traditionally male-dominated space and the historical barriers they have faced. This inquiry aims to shed light on how women are not only participating in football but also cultivating their own fandoms.
